Chocolate Trifle


Ingredients:
Devils food or chocolate cake mix
Jello instant pudding
2 tubs of cool whip dessert topping, completely softened
your favorite candy or fruit (i suggest heath bar, reeses peanut butter chips or strawberries)
semi-sweet baking chocolate (optional)

Directions: 
  1. Bake cake according to the directions and cool completely
  2. Make Jello instant pudding according to directions
  3. Break up cake using a fork to make large chunks
  4. Layer trifle dish in this order: 
    1. Cake
    2. Cool Whip
    3. Jello
    4. Candy or fruit topping
  5. Finish the trifle with the Cool Whip layer and top with grated semi-sweet baking chocolate, candy or fruit.

Molten Chocolate Cake


Ingredients:
4 pieces (squares) semi-sweet baking chocolate
1/2 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2 whole eggs
2 whole egg yolks
6 tablespoons flour

Directions: 
  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. Spray 4 ramekins with cooking spray and place on a cookie sheet.
  3. Microwave chocolate and butter in a medium-size mixing bowl for about 1 minute (until butter is melted. 
  4. Whisk until chocolate is melted.
  5. Whisk in powdered sugar until well blended. 
  6. Whisk in eggs, egg yolks, and flour.
  7. Divide evenly among the four ramekins.
  8. Bake 13-14 minutes until sides are firm and center is soft. 
  9. Let stand 1 minute.
  10. Invert cakes on dishes and top with powdered sugar or whipped cream.

Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies

Ingredients - Filling:
4 oz. cream cheese softened (from 8 oz. package)
1 egg
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Ingredients - Brownies:
1 box Betty Crocker brownies
water, oil, and eggs (according to directions on the box)
1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions: 
  1. Heat oven to 350 (325 for dark or nonstick pan).
  2. Grease bottom of 9-inch square pan
  3. In a small bowl, beat filling ingredients with an electric mixer on low speed until smooth. Set aside.
  4. Make brownie batter according to the directions on the box.
  5. Spread 3/4 of the brownie batter into pan.
  6. Poor filling over the brownie batter and spread to cover.
  7. Spoon remaining brownie mixture over the filling mixture
  8. Cut through the mixture with a knife several times for a marbled design.
  9. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  10. Bake for 40 minutes.
  11. Cool completely before cutting. 
  12. Store covered in the refrigerator.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp table salt
1/4 cup butter (1/2 a stick), softened
1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 large egg whites
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Beat butter and brown sugar with a mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add granulated sugar, beating well.
  5. Add cocoa and egg whites.
  6. Gradually add flour mixture.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips.
  8. Lightly spray cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  9. Drop by one-inch rounded teaspoonfuls
  10. Bake on 350 for 8 minutes.
  11. Cool for 2 minutes, then remove cookies and place on wax paper to cook completely.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar for a nice touch.
